All Alabama citizens who are current or past employees of WCCS and had their sensitive personally identifying information (“SPII”) compromised as a result of the WCCS Data Breach in or around February 2018 (the “Class”).

Important Dates

May 18, 2021 – Deadline to complete and mail a Claim Form for Monetary Compensation and/or to participate in the Credit Monitoring Service

May 3, 2021 – Deadline to file a written Objection to the Settlement or a Request for Exclusion

June 9, 2021 – Fairness Hearing

A proposed Settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit. If you are or were employed at Wallace Community College – Selma (“WCCS”) and were subject of a data breach in or around February 2018 (the “Data Breach”), you are a “Class Member.” If you received a notice from the Claims Administrator about this class action settlement addressed to you, the Claims Administrator has already determined that you may be a Class Member.

If you are a Class Member, you may make a claim for monetary compensation and two (2) years of Credit Monitoring Service at no cost to you by filling out a Claim Form.

YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OPTIONS IN THIS SETTLEMENT

SUBMIT A CLAIM

This is the only way to receive benefits under the Settlement. You can download a claim form by Clicking Here. You must complete and return the claim form in accordance with the instructions on the claim form. Claim form must be postmarked no later than May 18, 2021.

EXCLUDE YOURSELF

You will not receive any benefits from the Settlement, but you will keep any rights you currently have to separately sue Defendants for the claims that are the subject of this lawsuit. The deadline to exclude yourself is May 3, 2021.

OBJECT TO THE SETTLEMENT

You may write to the Court explaining why you object to the Settlement. Any objection must be filed no later than May 3, 2021.

GO TO THE HEARING

The Final Approval Hearing is scheduled for June 9, 2021.

DO NOTHING AT ALL

If you do not exclude yourself and do not submit a claim prior to the claim submission deadline, you will not receive benefits from the Settlement and you will give up any rights you currently have as specified in the Settlement Agreement to separately sue Defendants for the claims being resolved by the Settlement.
